L&G NTR Clean Power Fund Acquires Solar and BESS Portfolio in Ireland

The L&G NTR Clean Power (Europe) Fund has acquired Project Monvallet, a ready-to-build solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio with a combined capacity of over 211 MW in County Louth, Ireland. The portfolio, acquired from Strategic Power Projects (SPP), consists of Monvallet Solar and Hazelboro. Construction of the solar plant will start in 2025, followed by the BESS in 2026. Hazelboro has secured a contract for difference under the Irish Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS), while Monvallet Solar targets a corporate PPA partner. This acquisition strengthens the Fund’s growing renewable portfolio and supports Ireland’s clean energy transition.
