What’s the focus of Eolus Vind?

Since the foundation of the company in 1990, Eolus have swiftly become one of the leading wind energy developers in the Nordic region. Their current portfolio boasts a total installed capacity of 13,800MW, of which 666 installed wind turbines contribute the majority. More recently the company has also focused on solar powered energy, they currently have an installed solar capacity of 2,500MW.

Swedish specialists in solar, battery and wind energy

Eolus hold the title of being the first commercial wind energy developer in Sweden. As a result of this, the Swedish developer can offer knowledge at each step of the project chain. Eolus focus on the main pillars of the project chain: origination, development, construction and asset management to provide the best service to customers. Eolus’ current portfolio consists of projects located in Sweden, Norway, US, Poland, Finland, Latvia and Estonia. Their largest wind project is in Sweden whilst the largest solar is in the US. The company strive towards a cleaner future through the development of three pillars: economic, environmental and social.

Eolus confirm purchase of wind turbines for Avesta and Hedemora site

In March 2022, the Swedish renewable energy developer announced the purchase of 16 wind turbines from Siemens Gamesa. The turbines will be used for the Swedish Avesta and Hedemora projects, which will receive 12 and 4 respectively. The two projects will provide 74MW and 25MW respectively. The projects will contribute to Sweden’s goal of 100% renewable energy supply by 2040. The planned commissioning for the project is scheduled for Q4 of 2023.
