Founded in 2012, the Italian investment group was established to focus on alternative investments in the European market. The relatively young group currently has €1.8bn worth of assets under management, highlighting their rapid growth. Green Arrow is based on three core principles: Innovation, Reliability, and Integrity which were established to provide the highest standards to their customers. Their first green energy sector fund was established in 2015 with a focus on solar assets in Southern Europe and invested in Italian and Spanish solar projects. Green Arrow has invested in 5.5GW worth of energy projects located across Europe, North & South America, and India. Most recently, their Infrastructure of the Future Fund (GAIF) is targeting renewable energy and digital infrastructure with high potential in European markets. Their years of experience not only allows them to target ready-to-build sites but also to identify promising ‘brownfield’ projects.
In January 2022, the Italian investment group announced the purchase of a €400m Spanish solar site which was carried out by the subsidiary fund GAIF. The portfolio consists of numerous Spanish solar plants with a total installed capacity of 508MW. GAIF, which was released at the start of 2021 has raised €300m, the fund currently has an installed capacity of over 800MW comprised of wind, solar and hydro plants.
