With over 15 years of experience, the renewables fund manager has years of market experience and a successful track record to call upon. They have a team of over 300 employees and an €11bn invested since 2007. Their philosophy is based on the integration of all activities in the value chain such as origination, financing, management, operation & maintenance and energy management.
Macquaire Asset Management is to invest in Andalusian solar projects currently owned by Qualitas Energy. The entire portfolio has an installed capacity of 120MW, with a 20MW Gemasolar plant and two 50MW parabolic trough parks. The solar plants will produce enough energy to power 84,000 Spanish homes. The project is part of Spain’s acceleration to meet their 60GW by 2030 goal with Qualitas being a key driver behind the transition.
Berlin-based fund manager Qualitas Energy acquired two German onshore wind projects. One wind farm is located near Hamburg and will be repowered which will raise its capacity. The other is a greenfield wind project in Blumberg, in the south of Germany. Together, the two projects have a capacity of 80MW. This acquisition brings Qualitas Energy‘s German portfolio to 50 wind projects.
