1) CHN Energy (China)

Unsurprisingly, China is the leading global force in developing and expanding the global energy storage market, accounting for the majority of global energy storage. The country’s goal is to reach 180 GW of large-scale energy storage, primarily in the form of lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS), by the end of 2027. As a state-owned renewable energy company, CHN Energy will be responsible for achieving these ambitious goals.
