PV Installers Germany

List of 3 large PV-Installers in Germany

Germany has emerged as a global leader in the photovoltaic industry, actively promoting the adoption of solar energy and boasting an impressive track record. The country represents one-quarter of the EU market and is the EU country with the largest cumulative PV capacity. Germany currently has an installed capacity of approximately 80.7 GWp, which places it ahead of Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and France. While rooftop solar energy is the dominant form of solar energy in Germany, the country also invests in utility-scale solar parks. These large-scale installations make a significant contribution to the country’s renewable energy goals. In the following section, we will present three large PV installers in Germany.

1. Enpal B.V (Berlin)

Enpal B.V. is one of Germany’s leading providers of solar solutions for residential properties and the market leader for rooftop PV solutions for private households. Since its foundation in 2017, the company has grown to serve over 100,000 customers and has over 300,000 energy components, including solar systems, battery storage, wallboxes and heat pumps, in operation. The company offers a fully integrated “energy solution from a single source”, covering consulting, planning, installation, financing and insurance. Enpal aims to build Europe’s largest clean-energy movement and help homeowners to use energy in a green, independent and cost-efficient way.

2. Goldbeck Solar GmbH (Hirschberg an der Bergstraße)

Another leading photovoltaic installer in Germany is Goldbeck Solar. The company was established in 2001 and commenced operations in the Spanish market in 2008. Since 2019, photovoltaic systems with a capacity of over 96 MWp have been installed in Germany. Following the acquisition of GP Joule North America by Goldbeck Solar in 2022, the company is pursuing a strategy of further strengthening its market position in North America, as well as in Chile and Mexico. The American market is associated with a clear growth target for the German company. Since its establishment in 2001, the company has installed a total capacity of over 3.000 MWp.

3. SOLprime Power Systems GmbH (Kiel)

The solar company SOLprime Power Systems, headquartered in Kiel, was established in 2010 and has since been engaged in the implementation of both ground-mounted systems across the globe and rooftop systems for private residences. In the ground-mounted sector, more than 500 megawatts of plants have already been constructed. One of the company’s flagship projects is the 11 MWp plant in Bowerhouse, UK, which was completed in 2015.
