Italy’s PV installer market is unusually top-heavy compared to some of its European neighbours, with a single national utility group operating at a vastly different scale than the specialist EPC contractors and regional installers beneath it. The companies in this curated selection span that full range, from a global renewable energy leader to family-run installers with decades of regional history in Northern and Central Italy.

National Utility Scale

Enel Green Power, headquartered in Rome, operates at a scale that sets it apart from every other name on this list, with a global renewable energy portfolio spanning solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal generation. Its position reflects Enel’s role as both Italy’s dominant utility and one of the largest renewable energy operators worldwide.

Large EPC and Utility-Scale Installers

PV Eurosolution, based in Verona, has built a track record exceeding 2,000 MWp across more than 20 countries on four continents, focused on large photovoltaic systems for commercial and industrial clients and investors. KSI Solar, tracing its roots to the German Kirchner Solar Group and now headquartered in Milan, specialises in solar tracking systems and has installed close to 1,900 MWp worldwide across tens of thousands of projects.
