The heat pump sales in Sweden have increased significantly in the last years. In this article we will highlight three leading players in the Swedish heat pump market: Thermia AB, QVANTUM ENERGI AB, and CTC – Enertech.
1. Thermia AB
The Arvika based company was founded in 1923 and has since then worked on producing the latest generation of heat pumps. Thermia is a part of the Stiebel Eltron Group since 2018. In 1973 they developed the first ground source heat pump. Their portfolio spans from air and ground source and commercial heat pumps to air-source heat pumps, ground-source heat pumps, commercial heat pumps.
2. QVANTUM ENERGI AB
QVANTUM is headquartered in Åstorp. The supplier of innovative and efficient energy solutions has been rewarded for its future-proof products demonstrating an optimum combination of aesthetic appeal, functionality, and sustainability and won the DESIGN PLUS Award 2023 for their heat pump line. QVANTUM produces heat pumps tailored for individual buildings and heat pump-based solutions for densely populated areas.
3. CTC
Based in Ljungby, CTC, part of Enertech AB, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of heating products. The companies portfolio ranges from geothermal heat pumps to air-to-water heat pumps. All development and production of CTC’s heat pumps takes place in Ljungby. CTC was the first company to launch boilers with integrated water heating and they were also the first to launch heat pumps for air-to-water. It is therefore no exaggeration to say that they somehow developed the industry.
