When it comes to renewable energies, Scandinavia is one of the world leaders and is known for its fast and far-reaching energy turnaround. Sweden alone has a share of renewable energies of over 50% in their electricity generation. This makes Sweden, and its neighbours, world leaders in renewable energy. Accordingly, the share of European or even global investors in this promising sector is high. In the following article three of many scandinavian renewable energy investors will be presented. 1. MAGNORA ASA (Oslo, Norway)

Since 2019 the Oslo-based Magnora ASA has defined wind energy as their company focus. Geographically the investor is based in their home are and invests in wind projects in Northern Europe, mainly homebond in Norway. Being listed at the stock market, Magnora is getting more and more attention and secures its place in the renewable energy industry. Goal of the nordic firm is internationally investing in sustainable energy projects.

2. Scatec Solar ASA (Oslo, Norway)

As the name states – Scatec Solar ASA is a nordish investor interested in solar assets. Moreover, Scatec also invests in Wind and Hydro Energy. The investor has its headquarter in Oslo and is active globally; not only an investor but also functions as a developer, builder and manager of power plants. Founded in 2007, the investor now has over 3GW installed capacity in their portfolio.

3. Taaleri Energia (Helsinki, Finland)

Taaleri Energia is an investor from Helsinki who not only invests but also develops wind farms and solar parks. Until now, their projects are either based in Europe, in the US or in the Middle East. With five private equity funds Taaleri has a portfolio with roughly 2.8 GW in installed capacity all over the world.
