As most European countries, Spain generates more and more energy from renewable sources. In 2020 the share of renewable energy has been the highest its ever been with roughly 43% of all power. 1.QualitasEnergy (Madrid)
Founded in 2007, QualitasEnergy now is active internationally and invests in six countries. The investor has their headoffice in Madrid as well as two other offices in Europe. Through four different funds the fund manager offers various investments in renewable energy sources. Besides more traditional renewable energy sources, like wind or solar energy, QualitasEnergy has previously invested in concentrated solar power.
2. Aurea Capital Partners (Majadahonda)
Aurea Capital Partners is an internationally active investment manager who invests in sustainable Oil/Gas or sustainable agriculture but is also highly interested in renewable energy sources. Moreover the spanish company is also active as a developer in the renewables sector and operates solar parks as well as renewable gas.
3. Opdenergy (Madrid)
Opdenergy is another important spanish player in the renewables sector. Functioning as a developer, operator as well as an investor, the Madrid-based firm has very high expertise. Opdenergy has a diversified portfolio and is interested in solar assets, as well as onshore wind and hybrid energy assets. Moreover the firm is interested in energy storage systems.
