List of 3 Renewable Energy Startups founded in Scandinavia

Renewable Energy Startups founded in Scandinavia

This article is based on our list of the 100 renewable energy startups in Europe containing general contact details, company details as well as information about the company focus. The list also offers personal contact information.

In Denmark, Sweden and Norway, the renewable energy has been growing steadily during the last few years. While each country uses their resources best and focuses on their main category (Denmark on wind power, Sweden on biofuels and Norway on hydropower), Scandinavia is also an important player when it comes to innovative business ideas and revolutionizing startup founding.

In this blog article, the renewables.digital team therefore presents three of these future shaping startups in the renewable energy field. Furthermore, you can discover many more Renewable Energy Startups by visiting our open-access directory or acquiring our +100 List of European Renewable Energy Startups.

1) Better Energy (Copenhagen, Denmark)

By designing, developing, engineering, financing, building, operating and owning renewable power plant, the Copenhagen based renewable energy startup generates clean electricity.

Driven by the aim to shape a sustainable energy future and benefit biodiversity and ecosystems, Better Energy adds new renewable energy generators to accelerate the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.

2) Epishine (Linköping, Sweden)

By releasing a new unique solar cell which is optimized for indoor light, the Swedish Startup with headquarter in Linköping is cutting the cost of battery replacements and reducing the environmental impact by eliminating the need to replace potentially trillions of disposable batteries. Therefore, the team enables improved sustainability, monitoring and quality management of cleaning and facility management services.

3) Heaten (Kristiansand, Norway)

The Kristiansand based Startup redefined the industrial heat by creating reusable energy, increasing the energy efficiencies and providing clean energy. Their developed very high-temperature heat pump technology therefore leads the rapid replacement of fossil-fuel fired heating processes. By electrifying the industrial heating process and de-carbonizing heat, Heaten’s technology is a very important decarbonization lever.
