As outlined in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, New York strives towards the goal that by 2030, 70% of the electricity can be provided by renewable energy sources, the state wants to accelerate the energy transition.
This aim represents the relevance of renewable energy in the state of New York where also many renewable energy investors are based. In the following, some of them will be presented in further detail.
1. Rosemawr Management
The renewable energy investor was founded in 2008 and is considered as leading investor in the field of U.S. municipal and non-profit markets. With the focus on financing renewable energy generation assets and energy efficiency projects, Rosemawr Management drives the growth of available renewable energy and thereby supports the combat against the climate change.
2. Safari Energy
By acquiring solar solutions throughout various operational stages, Safari Energy finances renewable energy projects within the whole country. Whilst providing the needed project capital and implementing the project from an early development state on, the New York based investor strives to support the developers in the process of recycling their capital in their core development activities.
3. Clean Capital
With the stated goal to accelerate the energy transition, CleanCapital is investing in renewable energy projects since its founding in 2015. By connecting investors to opportunities in the renewable energy field, the New York based investor has completed more than ¢850M cumulative acquisitions within 160 solar projects. Hence, more than 163,000 tons of CO2 are avoided annually.
