In 2022, the solar energy capacity in Norway peaked at 321MW, which is a significant increase compared to the 205MW in 2021. Because the Norwegian solar industry is not as well developed as in other countries yet, investors in Norwegian solar energy projects are all the more relevant. This is why we have decided to compile a list of 3 investors in the Norwegian solar market.

1) Magnora (Oslo, Norway)

Based in Oslo, stock listed (FRA: 4SM) Magnora ASA is an asset management firm that specialises in investments into renewable energy development. It owns a large portfolio of renewable energy projects. Besides solar, the company also invests into offshore and onshore wind projects.

2) Eksfin Energi (Oslo, Norway)

The Oslo-based company Eksfin Energi provides financial solutions for Norwegian exporters. The company loans investments into solar, offshore wind and hydropower assets with a regional focus on Norway. Moreover, it offers to conclude Power Purchase Agreements with companies.

3) Taaleri Energia (Helsinki, Finland)

Headquartered in Helsinki, Taaleri is a leading European solar and wind investor. Not only does the company function as a fund manager, it is also a developer of solar and wind projects. The Finnish group manages five funds with a total installed capacity of 5 GW.
