Deal in 2022 with Edinburgh Airport to develop solar farm

AMPYR Solar Europe has signed a deal with Scotland’s busiest airport, Edinburgh to develop a new solar farm. This solar farm will provide 9MW of Solar, 1.5MW of battery storage and 40 EV charging points to help Edinburgh Airport achieve their Net-Zero by 2040 goal which requires renewable energy to cover 30% of the airport’s overall consumption. AMPYR will work alongside Absolute Solar & Wind to build the 16-acre site, consisting of ground-mounted PV solar systems which will connect to the airport via a private wire network.
