Anesco have built 106 solar energy farms in the UK which amount to a total of 550MW and were the first to introduce battery storage in the country. Currently they are managing 24,000 assets which provide over 1.3GW. Within a year of their inception in 2010, Anesco were responsible for the construction of the largest solar farm in Dorset, UK. Through their partners Shell New Energies, Anesco have begun to diversify their projects with the development of new solar farms in The Netherlands. Future projects including a UK solar farm amounting to 300MW have been secured, which forms part of their 3GW pipeline plan.
Following £12m revolving credit facility from Santander UK, Anesco have confirmed the development of a series of battery and solar projects. The battery storage projects will be located in Dundee, Melksham, Nottingham, Ipswich and Essex. Anesco plan for the battery projects to come online in spring 2023 whereas the solar farms located in England and South Wales will become operational this year.
