PPA for solar project in Ohio
Apex Clean Energy and Microsoft have entered a power purchase agreement (PPA) for electricity from the Wheatsborough solar project in Ohio, with a total capacity of 125MW. Originally intended for the local grid, the deal with Microsoft suggests the energy might now power Microsoft's facilities. Construction began in August 2023, and the solar farm is anticipated to be commissioned in the first half of 2025.
