BeGreen is the Danish renewable energy branch of the Bregentved Group. The company was founded with the ambition to be the first provider of subsidy-free renewable energy in Denmark. In 2019, BeGreen was responsible for the construction and management of a 275MW solar energy farm in Denmark. BeGreen’s current mission is to oversee the development and operation of 4GW of solar-powered energy by the end of 2025. In order to complete this goal, a further 335MW was installed with additional projects to come across Sweden and Poland.
In 2021, Luxcara confirmed its funding of the construction of several solar energy farms in Denmark, which will be carried out by BeGreen. The four solar parks will be located in Faxe, Vordingborg and Herning. Collectively, the four parks will supply 415MW, which will provide enough energy to supply 120,000 Danish homes. This project will be the cornerstone of the Danish objective to reduce CO2 emissions by 70% by 2030. The project is expected to be fully completed by 2023.
