Exus Management Partners is an independent investment and asset management firm that is focused on investing into renewable energy projects. The company is active in the onshore wind and solar energy sector. The firm has grown significantly since it was established in 2014: In 2021, Exus hit a milestone with 9GW of capacity under management.
Madrid-based renewable energy investor Exus Management Partners is partnering with the Genf-based energy trader Vitol to manage three wind farms with a total capacity of 244MW in the US state of Pennsylvania. This agreement brings their partnership to almost 500MW of combined wind assets in the United States.
Exus Brasil Investimentos, a subsidiary of renewable energy investor Exus Management partners, will purchase a solar project complex consisting of 20 solar parks in Brazil. Located in Piauí, the Riacho da Serra project has a total capacity of 1,058MW which is enough to cover the energy consumption of 950,000 homes. Moreover, it delivers a BRL 3.5 billion investment and creates 2,500 jobs. The projects are expected to become fully operational by the second half of 2024.
Exus North America, a subsidiary of Exus Management Partners, purchased a 306MW wind portfolio in Pennsylvania. The portfolio comprises four operational wind farms: The Highland North, Twin Ridges, and Patton wind farms totaling 244MW from Vitol, and the 62MW Cambria wind farm from Oppidum Green Energy. Three of these wind farms are slated for repowering between 2024 and 2027, enhancing their efficiency. This acquisition reinforces Exus' position as a significant player in the clean energy sector.
