Wind PPA with Alcoa‘s smelter in Spain
The Spanish renewable energy developer Greenalia SA signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply baseload wind energy to a smelter in Spain belonging to the US aluminium producer Alcoa Corp. 29 projects with a total capacity of 924 MW will supply 183 MW of wind energy to Alcoa’s smelter from 2024 to 2033. The Greenalia team will invest over €1,000 million and mobilize more than 9,400 jobs with these new developments.
