GreenGo Energy Group is a Danish solar and battery developer with headquarters in Vedbæk. Founded in 2011, the company was established to increase the development of solar energy. Shortly after their foundation, the Danish group were responsible for the construction of the largest rooftop plants in the Nordics at the time. Their growth has expanded since 2016, when they began to focus on utility-scale projects, completing their first utility-scale projects in North Carolina, US. GreenGo have also shifted their attention to subsidy-free solar projects, particularly in Scandinavia. Their current project pipeline is at 4GW spread across 60 different projects which have already begun construction.
In October 2021, the construction has commenced of the 12MW Ringkøbing solar park, which is part of the shared 500MW project between Encavis and GreenGo Energy Group. The solar farm will made use of the latest technology by installing bifacial solar modules. Construction is due to be completed by the second half of 2022 and energy will be provided to a previously arranged PPA. The project is named M30 and will be spread across an area of over 360 hectares. The electricity generated by the project will be enough to power over 62,000 households.
