Hampshire based developer of solar and hydrogen energy

Since their foundation in 2011, Hive have completed over 40 solar energy projects. The company was founded in order to provide large-scale renewable energy solutions to combat climate change. Whilst only having completed solar projects to date, Hive have future projects aiming to realize the potential of green hydrogen and ammonia. Their project pipeline has a future installed capacity of 16.54GW, whereas their current portfolio has an installed capacity of 1.97GW. Hive’s acceleration in the production of renewable energy will play a key role in the UK realising their 100% renewably sourced power by 2035 goal. The Hampshire and London-based group also aim to accelerate their growth on a global basis. The renewable developer currently has projects in Mexico, Mozambique and New Zealand under development.

250MW solar and battery storage project to commence in South Oxfordshire

In collaboration with Public Power Solutions and Ethical Power, Hive have committed to the development of a 250MW solar and battery project. The project will start with the construction of a 45MW solar and battery project in Burcot Farm, South Oxfordshire. Public Power Solutions will rely on the solar energy expertise of Hive and Ethical Power to develop and manage the sites. These projects underlie the current UK acceleration towards reducing their reliance on fossil fuels and striving towards a net-zero future.
