Québec-based Innergex Renewable Energy develops, owns and operates hydroelectric facilities, wind and solar farms. The company’s diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets has an installed capacity of 4,184MW. While many of the firm's assets are located in Canada, the company has expanded its operations into the USA, France, and Chile. Moreover, the company owns interest in 84 operating facilities, with more projects under development.
Renewable energy operator Innergex Renewable Energy will acquire the remaining minority stake in 16 wind assets in France. Innergex currently owns the majority interests of the wind portfolio which has a total capacity of 324MW. Acquiring the remaining minority stake will cost the company $70.2 million. Once the acquisition is completed, Innergex will hold 100% ownership of the 16 wind assets in France.
Canada-based Innergex Renewable Energy will purchase the Sault Ste Marie solar portfolio in Ontario from Fengate Asset Management. The three Sault Ste Marie facilities have a combined capacity of 60MW and have reached their operational stages between 2010 and 2011. All three facilities have an excellent operating track record and are contracted under long-term power purchase agreements.
