Solar project in Texas
Leeward Renewable Energy’s 200MW Horizon Solar project in Frio County, Texas has become operational in April 2024 and will generate electricity as part of a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Verizon Communications Inc. Verizon secured up to 640 MW of wind and solar energy from Leeward's new projects in January 2022.
