Headquartered in Toronto, Northland Power is a Canadian electric utility company. Since 1987, Northland Power has developed and owned green power facilities. Today, the company operates a number of power plants in Canada and Europe with a focus on natural gas and renewable energy. Besides natural gas and utilities, the company invests into onshore and offshore wind as well as solar assets.
Canadian company acquires 49% stake in German offshore wind projects
Canadian Northland Power will purchase a 49% stake in a wind project with a capacity of 225MW from RWE. The project is located north of the island of Juist in the German North Sea. In the beginning of 2022, Northland Power agreed to acquire 49% stakes in three other RWE wind projects near the island of Juist as well.
