What‘s the focus of PPC Renewables?
Greece-based PPC Renewables was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of Greece's largest power generation company PPC S.A.. PPC Renewables invests into renewable energy assets, such as onshore wind, solar and hydro projects. As of lately, the company is looking for investment opportunities in the Balkans and especially Romania.
Investment in solar PV portfolio in Romania
Greek power utility PPC Renewables will acquire a 210MW solar portfolio in southern Romania from Mytilineos. The portfolio consists of two PV solar parks with a 130MW and 80MW capacity, respectively. Mytilineos developed the two projects and is doing the construction work as well, which will start in early 2023. The projects are expected to become operational in 2024.
