What‘s the focus of RWE AG?

Headquartered in Essen in Germany, RWE AG is a global energy company that generates and trades electricity sustainably. It is active internationally: From the Asia-Pacific over Europe to the United States. The company is Europe's third largest renewable energy company in renewable energy.

When it comes to their focus, RWE is the number two worldwide in offshore wind energy. The company owns and operates a total capacity of offshore wind energy amounting to 3 GW in Europe.

Global player in offshore wind energy

RWE Offshore Wind GmbH, the daughter company of RWE AG, plans to increase its capacity from offshore wind energy to 8 GW by 2030. As part of its “Growing Green” growth strategy in the renewable energy market, the company will invest billion of euros to expand offshore wind energy. This will also include several projects outside of Europe, such as in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region.
