Norwegian Developer active in the field of renewable energy

The Norwegian developer Scatec has the vision of improving the future by providing competitive and sustainable renewable energy. Therefore, the leading renewable power producer is developing, building, owning and operating various renewable energy projects. The implementation of the projects takes place under innovative integration of reliable technology in order to accelerate the transition of the energy supply.

Diversified Portfolio with total capacity of over 3030 MW

Since the founding in 2007, the Oslo based developer was able to reach a total portfolio capacity of 3035 MW. This amount is compound by different renewable energy projects: the majority is achieved through solar farms, followed by the energy generation via hydro power and with the smallest proportion by wind parks. In Addition, further a capacity of 320 MW is still under construction.

PPA with Botswana Power Corporation for solar project

Norwegian developer Scatec agreed to a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 25 years with Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) regarding a solar project with a capacity of 50MW in Selebi Phikwe, Botswana. Scatec will own the facility the solar project will be built on. Moreover, the company will overtake construction and asset management.
