Greencoat UK Wind is a company investing in onshore and offshore wind farms in the United Kingdom. Currently, its parent company Greencoat Capital focuses on investments into bioenergy, renewable heat, solar and wind energy infrastructure in the UK, Europe and the United States. Greencoat UK Wind puts a closer focus by solely investing in operating UK wind farms. This way, it is providing shareholders with a sustainable and transparent income stream.

Renewable Energy investor from London with focus on onshore wind

Most assets of the company are already operating and producing income. The leading European renewable investment manager is specialized to the renewable energy infrastructure sector. After the founding in 2009, Greencoat Capital LLP has evolved into the one of the largest dedicated managers in Europe.

Investment Company with main emphasis on UK wind parks

By being the first renewable infrastructure fund to list in the LSE main market and only infrastructure fund domiciled in the UK, Greencoat UK Wind has a broad investor base, including numerous institutional blue-chip investors. The company as UK Investment Trust is incorporated in England and Wales and being managed by an experienced team of senior executives from Greencoat Capital LLP and therefore also overseen by a strong and experienced independent board of directors. 

Acquisition of Scottish wind farm

Greencoat UK Wind will acquire a Scottish wind farm from BayWa's renewables branch for about £50m. Located near Coalburn in South Lanarkshire, the Dalquhandy wind project has a capacity of 42MW. This acquisition brings the company‘s portfolio to 46 wind farms with a combined generating capacity of 1652MW.
